October Featured Band: intodown

We have been trying to feature a different local band each month on
the website (on the right hand column). This month's featured band is intodown. Who, we just so happen to be playing with at Texas Jive this Saturday. intodown features Mike Clark on guitar working with hand picked top DFWmusicians. Mike spent his youth opening (in another band) for Rocky
Erickson and the 13th Floor Elevators and as you might expect the
music of intodown is very psychedelic. As he describes it on his
website, ( http://www.intodown.com) "deep, improvisational, psychedelic rock and rock". The music of intodown is more about art than commerce and is of the highest musicianship. On the band's myspace page ( http://www.myspace.com/intodown) influences include everyone from Pink Floyd, Cpt. Beefheart, and, Link Wray to Sonic Youth, Skinny Puppy, and Tiny Tim. While the mp3s are outstanding this is band that is all about the live show and is one of the best live performances I've seen this year.
